I put one on a few months ago. It was made in China. 
It has the water temp sender plug in the top of it, but I just plugged it. I used the gasket and the permatex black stuff. She doen't leak.

so the key is gasket plus rtv, and making sure the thermostate stays put. okay hopefully I'll have time to put the darned thing on tomorrow or maybe the next day.
