tips on replacing water neck

I put one on a few months ago. It was made in China. It has the water temp sender plug in the top of it, but I just plugged it. I used the gasket and the permatex black stuff. She doen't leak.

so the key is gasket plus rtv, and making sure the thermostate stays put. okay hopefully I'll have time to put the darned thing on tomorrow or maybe the next day.

It's that damn little 2 inch hose that goes into the intake and takes a 90 degree turn that you will have the most poblems with.

yeah no kidding! that thing was a bugger, It took longer for me to get that damned hose on than it took me to crack the thermo housing![:@]
