Default Cragar Rims

Hi Guys, I want to buy some new rims and tires for my 68 coupe to replace what the PO had. I currently have 195/60/15's on the front with a 5.5" or 6" centerline rims, and 225/60/15's on10" torque thrust rims. The first thing I see in the FAQ list of tire info is that the rear rims seem WAY too wide for the tire thats on there? It call for an 8" rim in most cases. It looks great from the back, but over a big enough bump and it will hit the edge of the fender. If I put that tire on the new 15 x 8 Cragar rim, would it just be a taller look? I have to pull it off to verify backspacing, but I think it is 4". There is plenty of room between my tire and the leaf springs, so could I get a deeper backspace to move the tire towards the leaf??

I want to put Cragar S/S rims on it, andI seethey are uni-lug so they can fit more than one vehicle. Do they sell them anywhere that are just for our mustang? The centerline's and torque thrust's look like they are just for my car, but i could be wrong.

Thanks

i have the crager s/s wheels on our(her) 65 coupe...15 X 8 with 235/60-15 tires...had to roll wheelwells to prevent rub...the s/s wheels have a limited available back space...so if you do not want to modify your wheelwells you may want to look at something else...... got our wheels/tires from summit racing....could not beat the price for wheels/tires/mounted/balanced/with lugs...all you have to do is put on... torque...start reducing the tread thickness!!!!!

Here is a pic of my 65 w/ 15x8 craiger s/s. Driveway is sloped so sorta messes with the stance.

Did you have to roll your rear fender well!!! I have cragar ss 15x8 rims with 4.25" bs 255/60/R15 which rub like a bastard and am in the process of changing over to 225/60/r15. I do not want to foll my fenders. Let me know!!

No roll, I will go out and check tire size in a bit. I have never rubbed once (hahahahah).
