Default 200 to a 289 conversion

hello everyone, i got a few questions to ask about this to make sure im not making a huge mistake...

my original idea was to put in an already carburated 302 from an 89 5.0 into my 66 coupe. I kept reseacrhing and came to the conclusion (after i had bought the 5.0) that it would just be too expensive for me. I wanted to know if it would be a better idea to put a 289 in there and still be able to use my same transmission ,rear end , brakes, and suspension that came with the 200ci?

i was planning on buying the remanufactured engines from cjpony.

i really appreciate any help, thanks

you can use the same transmission, rear end, brakes and suspension but your car will either kill you or just fall apart. You need those all things changing, if money is an issue do those things first the worry about the engine

Nope if you change from a 6 to and 8 everything else in the entire car must follow suite.Itd be better to sell and buy and 8 or drive you 6 and be proud of it
