It might be hard to locate that paint though since it is not an original classic mustang color. I like it too. Looks masculine.

Guys,
I think I'll give that combo a shot!!! I bought the car back in 1982 for $2,850 and it ran alright. Since then the floors were redone, engine compartment sandblasted and repainted and a new 302 w/ 351 heads and a 4bbl placed on that baby. It has sat for 10 years and now the plans are a rack and pinion front end, coil overor airbag suspension for the rear. I have an uncle who build race cars and rebuild engines and know what the F@@@ he is doing to help me out!!!! I am one luck basta$$d!!! I have about $10 G into the 65 as it stands right now!!

My car originally looked like the Bullitt car--Highland Green. I found it very, very, very hot in the summer without a/c and that nice black vinyl interior. I took Body & Fender so I could paint the car as my final project. Wanting to stay with green but not so dark, I hit the books. I didn't like the light green from '68 (can't remember the name, but it's similar to the late model light green). I'd always liked teal--which was still kinda green, so I went with a '94 color called Cayman Pearl Metallic.

Years later, I bought a convertible that happened to be almost the same color. Except it was original: Gulfstream Aqua. Now, I need to repaint the fastback and I'm seriously considering painting it Gulfstream Aqua as well because it turns a lot of heads, but having two '68s the exact same color is a little too weird even for me. I'm thinking a '65 color instead: Twilight Turquoise--which is pretty close to what it is now.

In either case, the lighter color made the car bearable in 100 degree heat and doesn't show the dust or dirt. Plus, there aren't a lot of cars in those colors on the road.

I like the Bullit green:

But if heat is a problem, then you might want to re-think it like ToolWench said.

How about Legend Lime? It was offered on the '05 and '06 Mustangs but I bet it would look awesome on an original. Very unique, too!
