Default Power Steering Information

All:
I came across some good information on Power Steering Hoses. I am working on a 67 Cougar and all the manuals state that there are two possible pressure hoses 1/4 or 5/16 inch. How do you know what you have?

Follow the pressure line from the center back of the pump, to the valve - if a 7/16 wrench fits the connector it is a 1/4, if a 1/2 wrench fits it is a 5/16 pressure port.
