looks like pure ***, and is completely stock...but i must beat him in a 0-75 ish race. i have a 289 with 650 cfm holley 4 barrel, edelbrock rpm airgap intake, patriot headers, and shift kit for my c4 auto. i have 57700 miles on the clock. he has 100k + and is bone stock with a 5 speed manual tranny. he makes 175 hp and 175 tq as showed in the link....i dunno how they rated cars inthe 80s maybe rwhp or fwhp like in the 60s....who would win? i have stok rear end with 273 gears...i think i would torque him off the line but i dunno really...when i get my car back i need to find out but i dont wanna be embarassed gettin stomped by a that. thanks.

I still recommend getting an older model of a gtech pro (which they still sell) for like 30 bucks. Granted, it's liek ten eyars old, but they still work pretty darn well. Cost like 30 bucks and tell you your horsepower, 1/4 mile times, G's, other miscellaneous stuff. .

 

That car is Pure SEX, cheap, REALLY fast, and amazing good handling for its looks, dont underestimate them! They called Omni GLH( Goes Like Hell is actually what it stands for) I was all into turbo dodges b4 i got my mustang, if i would have ran across a daytona, instead on an omni, i would have been driving that. Everyonce in a while ull see some ugly dodge with slicks and a 4 cyl and laugh... then they run 11's and u **** urself. I saw a spirit, drive in, throw on some slicks, spool up at the line and run 11.5's, and my jaw dropped. On a street car! Turbo intercooled 2.2L! -Jon

If his car is capable of doing 0-60 in 6.5 seconds, I hate to say it, but unless you have more to tell than you told above about your car's setup, he's got you beat. plain old 289 with a Holley 650 and an Airgap with headers is not doing 6.5 seconds. Seriously, these muscle cars (STOCK) were lucky to be in the low 6's, even the best ones.

See the 66 mustang in this link. It is a huge list of stock 0-60 times. stock 289 Mustangs are in the 10s for 0-60 times, and you got just a bit more aggressive than stock if what you list above is what you have.

no, it runs andi ts pretty quick, 100+k miles on the clock, bone stock. its been beatin on its whole life, his dads the original owner and gave it to him. hes a pretty good driver, hes a bit of a *****. he wont dump the clutch to launch. im pretty sure i would take him off the line but im sure he would whip past me at 30 or so...i think these rear end gears are killin me. it has teh stage 1 computer in it, but he has the stage 2. close ratio 5 speed, hes constantly shifting.
