Well, I did it. I love Mustangs but......I just bought a Porsche. The boss said if I wanted to buy another car the garage project has to go, so soon to be sold are my 2 '67s, the rust bucket and the rolling chassis. I have had fun playing with them and trying to weld for the first time since Jr High.....but a PORSCHE!

Not impressed with the brand Porsche unless you clairify just which Porsche we are talking about. I had a 914 and it was not much more than a VW. 944's are a dime a dozen.

So true. We have one (not really a dime a dozen - it's an '89 with only 20,000mi and 1 owner) and I see them all over. Regardless though, I have more fun driving that car than any other one I've driven. I've driven a chipped F-250, a restored Cutlass Supreme, a Lexus, and an Audi and nothing compares to Porsche. Hate to say it but I'd take a Porsche over my Mustang any day of the week. I grew up with the car so I'm a Porsche kid at heart.Good choice Acadist. What Porsche did ya get?

It's one of those "dime a dozens", a '96 944. I love Mustangs, have owned 6 different ones, but lets face facts; the prices that these classics are going for in terrible condition is ridiculous. Just remember; two in the garage is worth on flying down the road!

Is this a good price or not for a 67 fastback? - 5/17/2007 7:25:40 PM

Looking at the following 67 fastback on e-bay. It is within a 3 hour drive from here, so close enough to go and drive to, inspect and drive back. What do you think? Good price for the car or not? Just remember, I saw it first!!

How does this possibly add anything positive to this thread?

Sad to see you leave the Mustang family ACADIST, but I'm sure you will enjoy your new ride... congratulations! I'm sure you will have no problems selling your ponies!

Good luck!

It's pretty obvious I didn't mean to add anything positive to the thrread because it has nothing to do with classic mustangs. Go back in your cave.

You're right Soaring, it is obvious that you didn't mean to add anything positive to this thread, that is why I made that comment. I would expect more from a moderator. Instead of doing your job, you have to once again belittle another member in public. Why must you continue to do that?

Also, I have to point out that the original post did, in fact, have to do with classic Mustangs, so you were wrong in that manner also...

There are a ton of threads in this forum about people selling, or contemplating selling, their classic Mustangs. Do you consider those "off-topic" as well?

Don't apologize for your new ride. Not that it matters, but I think the 944 and the 928 are both nice Porsches and I'd be happy to have one in my garage. Good luck with your new car!
