Default Brake pedal 'play'

I replaced the brake booster and MC. I bench blead the MC and brake lines (a few times) but the pedal goes to far down for my liking. Will increasing the length of the MC pushrod help relieve some of the play in the pedal?

You either still have an air bubble or two, or something's wrong with a soft hose, or the MC you just put in is bad (it happens).

On the dual MC. Does the front reservoir feed the back brakes and the back reservoir the front?

The whole idea of a dual reservior is to have the fluid be completely independent. Only the rod from the pedal and the housing are common for breaking.
