1st Month update.
Just wanted to drop by and give a little update on how the shop is doing. Sorry I've been away from the boards. I enjoy reading about everyones rides and the rest of the Classic forums. I should be a little more present now that things are up and going.
We've now had the doors open for 14 days. The only advertising we've done was run a 30 sec. clip on the local radio station and pass out about 1k business cards. We've got flyers and some banners otw - just waiting for the graphics people to get their sheet together and get it done.
Business is blessingly good. Infact, If things keep going like they are (knock on wood) we'll be able to pay bills on revenue generated instead of operating capitol the first month of business. Projections had us 180 days until we could leave OC alone and pay bills from accounts recievable. We're literaly the only game in town and folks are very excited and happy that there's a service center in town.
We're getting into our first motor job (R&R on an 02' Accord) starting Monday and have a full weeks worth lined up, baring them showing up and to date, only once did we have a no show when scheduled.
I've put my old craftsman boxes in retirement and had to upgrade. Mainly because i'm on the move in the shop and the old boxes can't handle the stress and one actualy caved in on the back caster, leaving me stranded and having to roller cart tools from job to job.
Anyway - just wanted to shed some light on the new venture. We're on the rise and folks are shaking our hand and thanking us when they pay. That's a good thing. ( I do call each customer back after a couple days and ask how the repair is doing and possibly schedule future work ).
Here's a pic of our Business card. Mind you, we're in a 1 light town and a true Southern setting. We've played into that mindset and it's paying off very well.
Cheers.

Thats great! Im from a -no stop light- town in south west Louisiana (Iota) and it sounds like you have a really great thing going.. Especially with the attitude and dedication to quality customer service you have..
You know,, the one thing I reall miss about being back home is that when you are driving down the street everyone waves at oneanother in passing.. Just a little, two finger wave off the top of the steering wheel,, like "hey guy, nice to see you,, have a nice drive.."
I cant wait to move back home..
Congrats!
