My key broke in the ignition. I already tried to take the key out, but its impossible. Do I have to get a new ignition and key?

 

Try removing the ignition cylinder, putting some light oil in it, and striking it face down on a wooden block, the inertia of the key may bring it out. This is assuming that the key will still turn to the accesory position.

 

I know it might be more expensive, but call a locksmith. Maybe your insurance will cover it. He will be able to get your key out and make you a new one on the spot.
