Default trying to install my stereo

Man!! I can tell you guys that this week has been soooo bad for me no luck at all! First starts off by Girl friend leaving me lol, getting in trouble at work, my battery died for leaving my lights on later on that night Getting my car broken into speakers broken, glove box forced open that its hard to open now, Stereo stolen. I close my windows and everything before going in my house Some A Hole forces my passenger window down and now rolls down easy , well i walk in my house for not even an hour then walk out to go get some food i notice my passenger window is open then notice my glove box all open, I see my stereo is gone and my brother in laws Cd case that carried atleast a hundred Cds all originals no Burned Cds. I was so ticked off. I filed a report and all just in case this SOB got caught some where else trying to snag some one elses stereo or something. Hope the weekend for me turns out good.

My questions is Where can i Get the Parking Brake wire and the Reverve light Wire? what color are they? Im trying to install a In Dash Dvd Player Its similiar to The guy that built his Fast back from scratch in this forums, I forgot his name. But any help can be appreciated. Let me know if you guys need anymore info. Thanks in advance

Chris

Define 'Parking Brake wire'. The back up light may be part of the neutral lock out wiring harness, so what transmission?

i think instead of another CD player you should invest in a car alarm

Frys had a few very nice ones which cut off your fuel and the only way to fix it is with your keypad on your keychain, and it aslso alerts you when your cars alarm is activated. im buying one

I'm thinking you need a car alarm before an in dash dvd player or maybe I just like to point out the obvious.

I asked what you defined the 'parking brake wire' as and also asked 'what transmission'. You got to give us more info before we can help you.

A couple more questions: what wiring instructions are you using? The only electrical connection to the parking brake on a 68 is with the 'Safety Convenience' wiring. And 'reverse', is that the back-up lights? I'm looking at the 68 wiring diagram and I don't see either.
