I don't see those bolts anywhere, are you sure they exist in 65 mustang?
I think mine is glued or somethin'

there are 2 posts on the dashpad that go into either side of the radio. the bolts that hold them in are very difficult to get to-- u will need to remove ur glove box, instrument cluster and radio to properly get to them.

If your dashpad is original it will likely tear apart when you remove it as they get very brittle with age. You are correct, there is also some glue holding it in place in addition to the bolts and trim.

I was able to remove the bolts on the dash pad without removing the radio. I also bought my new one from Texas Mustang because they are right down the road from me. Mine fit in perfectly.
