So my dad finally got his 66 Vert. It was being shipped from California to here (MN). Our problem is when trying to close the top. The pins that are supposed to go in the holes aren't lining up so as to being able to latch both sides securely. It also seems the hydraulic arms, if it has them, are bad. The top is brand new and my dad thinks a company called March made the top. It's a power top if that makes any difference. Thanks.
Try pulling down at the center hinge, just above your shoulder as you sit in the seat, align the pin andclose the latch. Do this all at the same time. Also have the rear quarter windows rolled down a little.

We are only able to do that on the drivers side. The passenger side pin won't line up in the hole which makes it impossible for the latch to catch. Anyone else have suggestions?
I recomend the 1966 Mustang Body Assembly Manual (NPD $16) that has the factory adjustments included as well as window adjustments or the 1966 Service Manual (NPD $46.95) that has a lot more info.
