C-4 are 3 speed trannies. Theyre automatics, but you can put a manual valve body in them and shift it manually if you like. There are TONS of aftermarket parts out there available for them. They can be built to withstand 1000+ hp, but it does cost a pretty penny.

alright thanks, there's a 71fastback on here for sale i was looking at and it had a 3speed with 4.11s and didn't know if it was manual or auto. 3 speed w/ 4.11's, isn't that gonna run you pretty high in rpms on the highway?

my neighbor swapped out his auto tranny in his 72mach1 and put a AOD in it, maybe i'll just do that sometime then, because driving on the highway is a common thing for me, with my 96GT and 3 73 i'm only at 2400-2500 at like 65-70
