a stainless or polished aluminum piece would look trick, while a paintedto match piece would look like its factory. your call, but either way im sure it will come out nice.

fab it up in cardboard first, thats what i would do anyways.

Default Cold Air Intake

I built the cold air intake. There is 12" of round air filter underneath that fender. Still got to get those blue hoses off.

I took it to the gas station (without the hood) and it has to be filled VERY SLOWLY.

It caused quite a commotion. Many picture takers!

Supersnake-Hey, im thinking bout supercharging my 68 coupe but i was wondering do you think it will mess up my engine in the longrun? Also, why did you choose a supercharger over a turbo??

It actually felt a little weird, as I am not one to look for attention. At least 5 different groups (tubers here for a weekend of floating the river).I don't know how many camera phones came out, I counted 7. I was busy answering all types of questions, some were OK questions, some were absolutely foolish. "Is that a 289?" "What kind of car is that?" I forget that some kids have no idea what an original Mustang looks like.

I am sure I willget used to it, but it was a little unnerving.

I am no expert, but your engine has to be designed for supercharging or turbo charging (lower compression, stronger rods, etc) I don't think I would put a power adder on an older engine.

I went S/C over turbo for one reason only. A Turbo is more efficient and was my first choice, but stuffing a 427FE in that engine bay left very little room for anything else. I am still worrying about hood clearance.

Supersnake- Thanks for the info. Also, did you restore everything by your self like the putting the engine in place, suspension etc?

I have done everything except:

the media blasting,
finish body work & paint,
engine build,
rear seat upholstery,
chroming the window vent frames,
glass install ( front & back),
front end alignment,
EFI/Dyno tuning.

Yes, I installed the engine, trans, suspension, wiring, metal work, etc
