So how crappy are Flowtech headers???
I just found that Flowtech was made by Holley.. http://www.holley.com/12102FLT.asp Pretty cool.. I think I may just go with them,, for now at least..
Most headers are a bit tight and take some banging to get all the bolts on
any headers under $100 are good enough! Unless you're a diehard quarter mile guy anything more is a waste.
There is plenty of reasons for ceramic though... Leading reason is heat.... If your engine is already running hot headers will be hotter than normal manifolds.

Just because I like to think too much...
If headers flow the exhaust gas a a faster rate, then the heat dissipation would be faster then stock manifolds. The larger diameter allows for less friction forces within the pipe and therefore would aid in cooling, not hurt it...
