Default trans dip-stick

When i installed headers, i moved the trans dip stick over a hair, i didn't remove it all the way, or evan half for that matter. Now i find that there is a slow leak from it. How in the world can you get towhere the tube goes into the trans. I can putmy hand on it, and can tell that is where the fluid is coming from, just can't get to it to replace it. Any help would be cool.

If you unbolt the tube from near the top of the tube then the tube will just slide out on the transmission. The problem is that the transmission fluid is higher than the tube is so you might have to drain it first. Another method that you could do is start the car and warm up the tranny so that fluid is all through the tranny. This makes the fluid level go down. Then you have to pull the dipstick tube, replace the O Ring, and put it back on before the level rises. This is how I replace the O ring on my dipstick tube.

so when the tube comes out, it takes out the o-ring as well? And to reinstall, just put o-ring on tube, and pop it it?

The O ring is on the dipstick itself. The is a small Notch or dent going around the tube that is inside the transmission. When you pull the tube out you will see it. just slip the old one off and slip the new one on
