i feel it is the spark as well only im flying solo here and there is no someone to help crank. the manifold would be fine to test the spark on correct?

Should be, but you might wanna keep that spark away from any fuel source

haha thanks, if not could this be a timing issue even though she has started and ran fine for months including last night? god i hope not I hate timing sdjustments i never know what im doing.

well i doubt it would be timing since it was running fine last night, try and get a neighbor to help you out and look at the plug when you pull it out, just tell em you need to borrow them for a minute

no...they can just stand outside and hold the plug and tell you if its arching.....god knows none of us want some stanger in our car

haha yeah watch their face when i explain to them an arch of electic current is going to shoot near their hand.

You don't need a neighbor. Do like the others said and pull a wire and put a plug in it and hold it up against a grounded metal source. Turn your key to the on position. Pull the shielded wire off of the 'S' terminal on your solenoid. Make sure your car is in neutral if it is a manual!!!! Assuming you don't have a remote starter switch, touch a screwdriver across the solenoid, touching both the positive side of the battery and the 'S' terminal. Your car will turn over and you should see spark on the plug. Good luck!

alright i dont even know this was possible, i had a neighbor get in and start it for me, she put her foot on the accelerator and before she even turned the key i noticed the carb was not opening its was stuck! i didnt even know that was possible i opened it by hand and she started it right up its running fine.[8D]
