i had a neighbor get in and start it for me, she put her foot on the accelerator and before she even turned the key i noticed the carb was not opening its was stuck! i didnt even know that was possible i opened it by hand and she started it right up its running fine.[8D]
SHE ????? putHER ????? foot on the accelerator?

ya i was gonna mention that....if he is talking bout the choke then it should be closed when the car stops....they open when they warm up and it would be hard to actually see the carb itself open up without manually moving the choke to look at it let along sticking your finger down there to open it

this is why i was so shocked and said i had no idea what happened i spent a few hours working with the spark plugs and making sure i got spark then i started playing with the carb, i must have fixed the problem earlier(either spark or battery cables) because as soon as i touch the carb(and im talking barely gentle soft touch) the car starts. must have been coincidence.

since ive went back out and its started up every time, i live in southern california so i cant blame the weather for a cold or hot start. its not bothering me since the car appears to functon properly again but i am a little curious at what it was.
