glad your ok next time put the car its self on jack stands and put the jack on the rear end. and throw the ramps away they are unsafe and break

I completely missed the ramp part. When we tried to get my car on the ramps all it did was shoot them out in front of the car with such a force it'd have broken bones. We don't use em anymore.

So much easier when the rear is held up by the rear framerails...

We can all take a lesson from your experience. Even though we may have done something numerous times, we should still take time to think it through and not get tunnel vision. This could have happened to any one of us, experienced or not. Glad you're ok.

Maybe you or someone elsewho is very knowlegible on safely changing out springs could putdetailed instructions in the FAQ section. It may save someones life.

I used 6 jack stands and two bottle jacks when I changed mine out. The bottle jacks had a piece of 2X4 between the jack and the frame rail and they were barely touching the frame rail. The floor jack just supports therear end. I will never ever crawl under a car until I am definitely sure it is secure.

When I read this the first thing that popped into my mind was the cartoons where the cartoon character stands on the branch that he is cutting off a tree and falls with it. Sorry to make fun. I am very glad you are here. Thanks for sharing...
