Brake shims?
It may be an old mechanics tale, but I've heard of making aluminum shims from your favorite beverage container to remove some "slack" between the pad and the backing plate. This is done in an attempt to stop disk brake squeel. I'm not suggesting you do this, but at least there is a urban legend of using shims for disk brakes.
Gotta be real...
From Degins..Id ask him but he's not online..
I have 1 set left of Praise Dyno madesemi-ceramic. They are claimed to be 50% more aggressive in stopping force. They cost $49 (they cost $90 retail). They come with shims. If you want them, make payment to my PayPal account (the ID is : payment@discbrakeswap.com). I'll make shipment by Wednesday.
