Default 351C Adjustable Rocker Kit?

Has anyone here done an adjustable rocker conversion on a 351 Cleveland? I have read about a Crane Cam conversion kit, but it does not say any where that it will work on a 351C. Maybe I am looking at the wrong part number. Anyone here done one? Do they work well? Do they last? I am experiencing some valve clatter from time to time in my old engine and would like to adjust the rockers if possible. I know you can mill the pedistals down, but I have not found a machine shop in San Antonio that gives me warm and fuzzys. Thx.

No one? Any mail to engine machine shops that you recommend would also be great.

well, cleveland heads have pedestal mount rockers, they dont need adjusting or any special treatment to put on

I bought some nice roller rockers, then realized "ah crap, no studs". See below, this crane kit is what I bought:

Fit right in. I haven't run the engine yet, but I had no installation issues. If you're not going to race it, this should work fine. If you are gonna turn some higher rpms though, you might be stuck machining em.

This is what you want.

Don't have them myself, but a friend of mine has 'em on his '73.

i have roller rockers in my back-up motor (351 cleveland), stud mounted of course. but the kit that 70fb351cput up works to, so long as you don't rev real high = )

just make sure when you get the kit you get either 3/8 or 7/16 (depending on the rocker arms you get, but 7/16 is overkill with a 5/16 base on it)

Thanks guys. I saw that part number, but when you look it up on theCrane Cam website, it does not list the 351C as a compatible engine. Glad some folks are running them and like them. As for not needing them, when you are experiencing upper valve trane noise, it is comforting to be able to set the rocker tension if for no other reason than to eliminate that as an issue. Several of you said do not rev too high? I know too high is when it breaks, but any idea what is safe? Will it handle 5500? Thx again.

I would think 5500 should be ok... that's pretty standard. I think they are talking about racing engines >6000 rpm. Here's what they look like installed:
