Where did that wire connect?
My engine has been sitting on a stand for all of 72 hours. I'm standing in front of it, trying to decide what to do first. I guess I need to get the alternator and A/C compressor off so I can paint the brackets. Hmmm.... where did that wire from the alternator go? It has alarge roundconnector on it, so it definitely came off the solenoid. Was it from the battery side or the starter side? I'm pretty sure it connected to the battery side of the solenoid, but not 100% sure.
And what's this empty connector doing bolted to the back of my engine? Oh, there's the wire that's supposed to be in it, still on the firewall. Looks like I forgot to disconnect that one.

Good thing that's the only thing I forgot to disconnect.

Pretty sure it goes to the battery side. Mine does anyhow.
Lesson to be learned here.... LABEL EVERYTHING! Put the bolts in sandwich baggies and label them during disassembly, put tape on the wire ends and label them and take pictures. It will save you scads of time and aggravation.
