removing steering wheel

Default removing steering wheel

hey guys, first post. i am trying to get a steering wheel off of a column for my boss, what size bolts do i need for those two bolt holes on each side of the big nut? I have a wheel puller but cant find the right bolts. it is a 1970 model. thanks!

I was able to "persuade" my wheel to come off using my knees on the bottom of the wheel and my hands on the top. I do not recommend pulling, yanking, or kneeing voilently. Just apply a smooth increase of pressure to all sides. You may not need the puller (sorry I couldnt' help with the bolt sizes).

I would assume that the thread type is the same as my 66, 5/16-24. Ford doesn't change ways to service their products.
