On edit: I forgot another unwritten rule. No trailer hitches.

I would pull up beside you on the highway, point at the trailer hitch and lmao. When I first got Yeller, she had mud flaps, a luggage rack, a trailer hitch, and a tow bar that was welded to the front frame rails and the butt was sagging. That was the funniest lookingclassic Mustang I had ever seen , but I saw the potential to getting it back to original and that's because she had no rust so that sealed the deal with me.

There are a few things that classic mustang owners have an unwritten agreement among the clan, and those are no extension shackles, no mud flaps and no luggage racks.
There is another little aspect of Mustang ownership that is a lighty kept secret discussed in low tones among a small group within the group that goes something like this-

"If it ain't a fastback it ain't squat."[sm=smiley8.gif]

Hey ole Oxnard, now that's just a little too negative a comment. If you like or preferFastbacks, say 'I prefer Fastbacks over other body styles', or something along that line. Your comment is, in essence, enough to **** off a whole bunch of people. If you want to do that, the 'moderator' will delete your inflamitory incantations. So suck on that! Oh, andI prefer fastbacks.

It's all a matter of preference, I like the lines of the 65 coupe better than I like the lines of the 65 fastback. If you like the lines of the 65 fastback, you are going to have to pay a bunch of money for that look because those cars are selling for a lot more than the coupes that look better IMO.

Okay Jim, I'm sorry I let the cat out of the bag.

Let me try again.

Steve McQueen prefered fastbacks.

Hows that?
