Default Outer wheelhouse removal

We are replacing several sheetmetal parts on the 70 FB and ran into a problem while trying to remove the right rear outer wheelhouse. There is some kind of crimped weld between the inner and outer wheelhouses. What is the best way to seperate these? Anyone done this before?

There are spot welds and we drilled those out. But there is some kind of crimped seam weld along the entire flange holding the two halves together.

I just finished doing both sides of mine, Its a 70 fb also.

The only thing I had was a bunch of spot welds holding them together, the metal was crimped on the back section in side the trunk area, but after removing the spot welds it seperated.

Well, we tried an air chisel.....no workie. So we took a cutoff wheel and cut out what we could, then ground it down with a flapper disk. We could not get the flapper disk in between the roof support so there will be an extra layer of metal at that point. If we do the other side we will replace both the inner and outer instead of messing with it.
