I lived in Santa Fe Springs intil I was 5. I went to school at Crescent Elem. I remember the Bob Springs Cadillac dealership there. We lived off a frontage road across from the cemetary. My Mom grew up and went to school in Gardena and my Dad grew up and went to school in Hawthorne.

Man that looks like my floor use to. We Imported a 64 1/5 convertible to New Zealand and it was the same bondo, black tar and firberglass. There must be a lot of back yarders over there do this for a liveing, it should be outlawed. We relaced every thing apart from the doors, front gaurds, and hood. Good luck with your project make sure you get good part some don't fit to well. Cheers from down under.

It's not just the 'backyard' set that's at fault. There are 'Mustang' shops that do shoddy work like what you see, all the time. I know of a couple here in Silicon Valley. Andbody shops that will takea client's Mustang and 'fix' that hole anyway they can. "Hell, you can't see it, it's under the carpet." "It's only got to last a couple of years anyway." Sorry to say, but it's normal.

66gtkfb is right i have worked for a few body shops here some where cheaper and some where well known for doing great work. everyone of them i seen use body filler as a hole filler or even pop rivet thin sheet metal over holes in the floor. they are just out there to make a fast buck. even if the work they do isnt right you wouldnt know tell the body filler cracks and falls out.

when you return your tank to be filled it is swapped out with a different tank that has been inspected so you shouldn't have to be too concerned about your tank being faulty.
At Sims, they actually refill your tank for you while you wait. I think the tank exchange may be for larger commercial tanks.

I get my oxy tanks from Airgas on Rosecrans in Gardena. They exchange them there instead of refilling. When I get my CO2 tank I'll probably just get it there. I still have not gotten my mask. I'm thinking of going and getting a hand held shield for now. It is killing me having that shiney new welder and not being able to use it[:@]

Did you open the box for the welder yet? My Lincoln 175 came with a hand held shield.
