Default Have you ever seen this?

So I didn't get to try out my new mig welder this weekend. The Lincoln Powermig140C came from Santa Fe Springs in California, where I am, but my welding helmet is coming form Indiana so I have one, but not the other.
So I decide to continue gutting the rust bucket. I pull the front seatsto get the carpet out so I can see how bad the floorpans are. The po used roofing felt and tar to seal up the holes in the floor. ROOFING FELT AND TAR! Son of a B! Needless to say the floor pans are toast up to just below the seat pans. I haven't gotten to the frame rails yet...............yay...........

Which place did you get the welder? I was just down at Sims Welding Supply on Saturday getting a new tank. They are located on Main St. in Gardena a bit north of the 405.

I got it off ebay new from IOC. The welder came from Lincoln directly. The rest is coming from Indiana.

Cool deal. Do you already have a tank for it? Be cognizant of the expiration date on the tank if you buy a used one. I believe they have to be recertified every 10 years. Ipicked up a used, just recertified 50 cf tank with free fill from Sims for $150.

Have fun with it!

when you return your tank to be filled it is swapped out with a different tank that has been inspected so you shouldn't have to be too concerned about your tank being faulty.

Yup, that's what the shop I go to does. Also, I ended up buying a second 40cf tank and now I get them both filled for the same price I got the single 40 filled for. My last fill up he only had one 40 ready to go so he gave me a 60cf bottle for the time being! Sweet, 20cf for free!
