Default New Clutch Too?

I am thinking about putting in a Hays clutch, pressure plate, and new throwout and pilot berrings while I have the tranny down replacing the flywheel (see my vibration rpm thread). Given the fact that I currently am running a 351C with about 300hp and plan to upgrade at somepoint to 400hp, what size clutch (10.5 or 11") and what size pressure plate (diaphragm 1500#, long style 2100#, long style 2400#, or diaphragm 2750#) should I put in. The long style pressure plate is also called a triangle style I think. What are the pros and cons of diaphragm and long style pressure plate? Any opinions are appreicated. I have not decided to do this yet, but why everything is apart, I may go ahead and make sure all this stuff is new and right.

Modern diaphram clutches have several advantages over early model 3 finger style units. They are easier to operate, less maintenance, use mechanical advangate to operate... You can also get high performance units like Centerforce.

Post this over in the 5.0 section and you'll get tons or feedback.

Arethere any modifications that need to be done to switch over to a diaphragm pressure plate? I will do some searching in the 5.0 section.
