Default rust

WIll you look at what the PO did to my car. I knew that the door pillar had rust and I knew that it was going to have to be cut out but I didn't know that they would try to cover it up with bondo in a critical point like the hinge. Not like it holds any wheight. Dumb a$$!!! The lady I bought the car from said that it hadn't been wrecked. So Her PO lied through their teeth to her. I have been finding nice deposits of bondo everywhere. I hate people that do fly by night work. Had to vent. Just couldn't believe my eyes. I wonder what other presents I am going to get to open by the time I finish stripping her.

Where is the bondo Tony? I am looking at a perfectly good 42 year old hinge.

It almost looks like a brazing rod repair.

Yep, there is a brass under the hinge, and a rust out hole below the brass. I am assuming that the door got wrenchedforward at one point or another. The question is whether the wrenching caused the rust, or ifan already rusty post was damaged by the wrenching? Hope for the first possibility.
