Default Engine Build, Timing Cover HELP!

So... my engine build is a 87-92 302 roller block. I'm getting ready to install the timing cover and remeber the oild slinger on my 289. Now does this roller block need the slinger too? Because i can't find it at summit or jegs or anywhere! My timing cover is a generic aluminum one that is supposed to fit all years of the 302. Help Please...

I'm taking pics of the whole process and will be posting soon for everyones refrence so they don't have to struggle through my same problems!

Default RE: Engine Build, Timing Cover HELP!

Someone also mentioned that if the inside of my timing cover has a little shelf above the crank hole then i don't use a slinger... True or untrue???
