Default Edlebrock Performer Cam

Do you guys think the Performer Cam will work well enough with a stock intake and 2 barrel carb? It would be just until I can get enough for the intake setup.. When they build my motor I want them to put the cam in so I dont have to do it myself later.. I want something that will work ok with the stock setup and ported heads, but really pick up the HP when I bolt on the 4barrel set up. Any Ideas or concerns?

im too lazy to look up the performers specs, but yeah thats designed for idle-5500 so i dont see it being a problem. im sure the lift isnt anything intense, but you mkay want to go one step stiffer with the springs to be safe. nothing fancy, just something that will work with your stock retainers and give you another 20 lbs. or so of seat pressure

When they rebuild the heads, new springs should be in the deal.. I may go with a little Lope-ier cam,,, (is that a word) But I just need to get something that will work with the 2bbl carb/intake. I cant wait to get the good stuff on though...

That cam should work fine in a stock engine, and run well if you put better induction and heads on later. Definately get better springs though
