Default Price check on 72 mustang

I currently have a 02 Mustang GT and love it but get got out of school and looking for something to keep my busy. I saw a 1972 mustang on the side of the road so i stoped and looked at it. It says it runs with a 351 cleaveland bored out. But is missing some of the front end (bumper and more) It also looks like it was T-boned on the driver side door. The interior is not to bad, needs to be cleaned and new floor pans. Not to mention all the rust because i live in michigan and it looks like its been though a few winters. The asking price is 4000, to me its a little high end but looking for others opinion.

ouch stuff is missing off of the frnt, and hit in the side and has rust issues [&:] man i only paid 2300.00 for mine and it was hit in the frnt with good interior, 85k on the clock and not much rust at all. if the motor is rebuilt and is something special then it might ok deal but man that just seams like alot. is it a coupe or fastback? got pics

Sounds like $4k for a title and 351C. Not worth it, IMO.

The movies killed the logical price for these hunks of steel guys. Not sure how long this illogical pricing for classic Mustangs is going to last, but it seems it is here to stay, so hang on to those rust buckets.

I was passing through TX a few months back and saw this 71 Mach1 for sale for 2500 bucks I stop and looked at it, It needed some small stuff nothing major interior was almost perfect and not a drop of rust. I say keep looking, 4000 g's is way to much for that. Plus if he over bored the motor you can run into over heating issues.
