Need Your Help Guys!
I did forget to mention that the previous owner covered some rust beneath the winshield with bondo. How hard is that stuff to remove?
Edit: woops just realized I double posted. Is there a way to delete?

Alright I will get a list of all the prices that would be neccessary to finish the car and hopefully I can get him to lower it. But going from 8.5 to 4 might be hard. Might have to let this one go

Just do some research on the car before you go. Remember if you want the car act like you don't cause he is going to be convinced you are ready to dish out the money since you are flying all the way out there. It it has rust throughout the whole car I would think strongly about waiting cause once you start working on this car it will be hard to keep it as a daily drive when tou have it all torn apart replacing the body panels.

It looks nice in pics (not really). Should I say, its a nice car, but it needs a whole lot of sheet metal work. Look closely at the pic of the drivers side window you can see the bubbles from the bondo, and along the drivers side air scoop on the rear quarter its wavy and bubbly. And what really gets me is the cowl below the windshield, that thing was filled in with body filler, look at the cracks. The door will need replaced like you said or at least a skin, probably both doors.. and you havent seen under the carpet yet. I bet the frame rails are pretty bad off too. If you want a daily driver, and dont want to decommision the car for a very long time to get the body work done then just wait for the right one.. If you have the money, patients, skill / or body shop (more money) then go for it. But Not for $8000.. And how does it run???
It seems like it's a little high to me, but then again I don't know what fastbacks go for where you are. Unless you want to spend alot more money on it, I'd forget it and keep looking. Who knows, I might be wrong, but I wouldn't pay $8000 for it.
Its def got potential but its definetly not there yet either. Looks like a nice ride to be but to get it looking really nice you loking at a complete tear down. I would keep looking. I got my 70 fastback for 2k and it had a rebuilt 302, drives really nice. and about the same body work needed. Now dont count on gettting one for 2K because I stumbled upon one heck of a deal. But still. wait for the right one or youll be sorry
