Gas Stations - Major Chains or Discount

Is that why they are the most successful business in the world?
I could give a **** less who they hire or how they treat their employees. I though it was an employee owned company in the first place and that is why is has been so successful. Let's not get into the politics of how Wally world works, just understand that they have cheaper prices for name brand products that you pay a lot more for at other stores.

Well for me personally...Walmart used to be in an semi-busy lot in town and it was fine. They wanted to expand so they moved the business .8 miles up the road (.8!) and bought out nearly the entire mall. So our nice mall is now called "Mallmart", "Walmall", and "Walmart and some stores"...
On the grand scheme, Walmart treats their employees poorly, hinders small business, and as shown on TV, has knowingly hired many illegal immigrants...

James, It's not an opinion - if you don't like you job - quit - get a better one. It's the American way. Oh, it's not your job, it's theirs. They pay you to do it and you are expendable. Once you get that into your pea-brain, you can make money - and retire at 50, like I did, and spend the last 15 years playing around on Mustangs.

Half the people in my town work for a majoroil companies.Everyone I talk to says it doesn't matter who you buy from.
I hadone friend whoworked for Shell and said they frequently soldtheir extra gas to the "off brands" and then those little stations would turn around and sell it for less than Shell does. That makesShell feel really dumb, but it's great for the consumer.
Most biases come from times that someone filled up with bad gas at one station. Bad batches happen no matter what company/brand is involved. So swearing off one brand usually isn't doing anyone much good.
That being said, I knew one guy who was an engineer at one of the big name brands, and he refused to buy his company's gas. Hahahahaha (no I won't say which company).

On topic, I buy all my gas from Arco. I use my business Arco card which gives a small discount andavoids me paying income tax on top of the other taxes
. If that weren't reason enough, Arco generally is about $0.10 cheaper per gallon than most of the other stations here in L.A. Before selling my compressed natural gas car, I filled up at the SoCal Gas station or one of the local city yards ... for about $1 less per equivalent gallon than petrol. Those were the days.

[/quote] he thinks their gas sucks. He didn't give specific details as to why though. I just think it's funny because he's worked for them for 20+ years. hahaha.
