Here is what i found when i removed the starter off a 1965 Mustang. can somebody please tell me what year and size block this is? Thanks!

Hello.
That's a 68 model 302 block. On the date code, how that works is the first digit is the year, 1968, the second digit is a letter indicating the monthand your choices are A B C D E F G H J K L M on a 68 block. My guess would be it's actually either D or G, and the last two digits are the day of the month, as in the 27th on yours. Hope that helps.

Thanks so much for the help. Thanks to this forum we now know that the car has the incorrect block. It will faster and easier for us to just drop in a later model 302 with a roller cam
Thanks again!
Thanks again!
