Lower Billet Grille Installation
How the heck do you install the lower billet grille on a 65-66 Mustang that has a fiberglass front valance. My car has a bumper on it. Whatdo you secure the grille to?See below:
I ordered that grill for my 68 but haven't installed it yet. They supply rivets to secure it to the front radiator support. You will likely have to trim the fiberglass so that it doesn't extend as far to the radiator. My car has the valance with the bumper as well.
I purchased the upper and lower grill through Mustang Depot. They are made by Trenz i believe. Upper cost about $220 and lower $160. I originally ordered from CJ Pony Parts because they had the same grills shown in their catalog but they were not the same when it arrived. It was the same one every other mustang place has (Mustangs Plus among others). It didn't have as many bars and I don't think looked as good. Mustang Depot piece was high quality.
