Does anybody know where i can get the metal piece that the drip rail molding attaches too? mine is rusted and I haven't been able to find anywhere that sells them.
you pretty much cant...mine were so rusted one fell off when i caught my shirt sleeve off it so what i did instead of attempting to fabricate a new one is just weld up the seam....its yet to be seen how good that will hold up when its driving down the road but im jumped on the car and flexed the body etc and it seems to be just fine.....its just sorta thin metal there so that was my only issue....
mine is rusted all the way though[:@]... i guess im just gonna have to try to fab up a new one, unless i can find a parts car thats got one in good shape, that can easily be taken off.
Have you seen one with the drip rail shaved? Of course that wouldnt work if your doing an factory restoration. They do look really nice without the rails.
as far as i can see, no they dont. they sell the mouldings, which is the chrome strip that goes over the drip rail, but they dont sell drip rails themselves.
