Looking for the best rust encapsulater product for those small rusted spots that don’t need to be cut out just cleaned and coated, Seen east woods items everywhere, bullet proof and POR 15. What is the best that will stop rust on my project in those small areas like front and rear window openings, parts of the floor pan ect. I’m in central cali so our weather is not that crazy.

I think the Rust Bullet warehouse is in CA. Either way, all options listed are good.

POR-15 is a good product to use but - if you have rust problems and that rust goes under the rubber seal on your car's windows, you should remove the glass and thenapply the POR-15. It will not 'flow' under the rubber so your rust will still be there.

I've used both por 15 and eastwoods rust encapsulator. POR 15 is good and so is rust encap. But you are not required to top coat RE or required to use special thinning agents, cleaners, etc. on RE like POR 15. And RE is cheaper.

 

I have only used RE - worked very well, very easy to apply - I did use a top coat on top of it ... I attach2 pictures of my finished under carriage

I used RE to recoat the undercarrage, but Iuse the original red oxide color and did not top coat and I don't plan to either.
