what causes explosions in my carb why is it doing this?

 

you'll have to be more specific like when does it occur?? do you mean popping sounds?? or do you mean fire shooting out catching the air cleaner on fire?? if you mean popping sounds it could be timing issues or a lean condition. possible accelerator pump problems?? check for vaccum leaks that may cause a lean condition but without more symptom explanation of when and how problem occurs it's a little hard to diagnose without seeing/hearing the car

 

it happens when i suddenly step on the gas it pops!
