Doctors are just guys that couldn't make it as mechanics......

mechanics can fix things they can't see doctors can not
mechanics have to contort their own bodies to fix the thing they are working on doctors can not
mechanics can make things go faster when they fix cars...doctors can not
mechanics can repair and replace things doctors just patch up what they work on
mechanics can reach into areas not mean't for humans to reach and feel of something and tell you what it is...doctors can't
mechanics don't need a camera to see things that are out of sight...they just reach in and feel it
mechanics use dexerity to perform multiple task with one hand....doctors can not
mechanics can hold a nut and screw it on with one hand and doctors can not[/align]

Tell that to the Doctor doing your heart transplant. Just make sure I'm in your will before you do.

I'm not a fan of doctors but as I read once on a comic srtip about mechanics vs doctors and there pay esentially the mechanic asked the doctor why he doesn't get payed what a doctor does. the mechanic made basically the same points as stated above and said basically that mechanics and doctors perform the same tasks just on something different. when it came time for the doc to reply he said: "WELL STATED MY BOY but try working/repairing your car/patient with the engine/heart stilll running!!!! point well taken!! I still think techs deserve the same pay as a doc we have to put up with the same crap as docs do!!!![>:]

 

I can do the mechanics stuff with no problem - on my own. It's my doctor that I pay attention to.

You are comparing basically a grease monkey to a doctor? Yeah right. Granted, the modern day mechanic has to know how to operate a computer and diagnose problems with the outcome of the computer, and the doctors basically do the same thing with the tests they run before making an educated guess, but the bottom line is that with both methods, it is always an educated guess as to how to treat the symptom. I can replace my car, but I can't replace me. I will go with the doctor and his more superio[r education.

atoms a heavy duty diesel one can but your fixing semis and earthmovers front loaders etc etc.
