Currie vs Quick
I have been looking to get a 9" rear end but didn't really like the prices that Currie have. I ran across Quick Performance from a post and I do like their prices.
Why are the rearends at Quick so much cheaper than Currie Enterprises? Has anyone had problems with Quick Performance?

Currie is probably a lot higher quality and will stand behind their rears.
For inexpensive, go junkyard hunting and go for a refurb. Should save you about $500 off the Currie price. It's up to you to decide if that's worth it.

living where i do, i can't really help with either, sorry
however, i have had a variety of diff centers from open wheeler to full spool and even welded centers with various methods of limited slip/ posi (or whatever you wanna call it) in between (clutch LSD, Torsen etc)
i would say that hands down no question, the detroit tru track is miles ahead the best to drive on and works out generally cheaper than rebuildign a posi. IMHO of course

When comparing axles between different builders, make certain you are comparing apples to apples. 28 spline or 31 spline? Standard case or nodular case and big bearing pinion support? Stock or chromoly axles?
There are a lot of things to consider when getting a 9" built. If you shop solely on price you may not end up with what you want.
