Default sheet metal

Two questions. First has anyone replaced a roof panel and if so did you use the repro or a donor car. Mine is pretty hammered and I wonder if replacement is easier. the other question is I have a replacement panel for the passenger side on a 65 and I just need the bottom patch panel. If someone has the patch and needs a full quarter do you want to trade. I would hate to cut up a panel for a little piece. or if someone is interested in the panel let me know and i will just buy a new patch panel.

Well they make new roofs for fastbacks unfortunatly not for coupes. but you can find a donor car and swap roofs, Or depending on how badly damaged your roof is it may be fixableJust keep in mind anything is possible iv taken my car to several different body shops because i have a sunroof all of them offered different ways of patching the roof or just taking the skin off and mig welding a new skin on the roof and grinding down the welds and using a little body filler to blend everything in

that was my origional thought. My roof is badly dented and it was repaired but I dont want to use that much bondo to fix it. I would rather not use any. I may have to start looking for a roof.

The PO had the dents pulled and there was still alot of filler in there. I have seen the repair panels in all my catalogs. I just have a rear quarter that I dont need and like I said I would hate to cut out my patch panel out of it. I will probly just put it on craigs list and buy a patch panel.
