Add a second one. It's the easiest way, fresh wire from the hot therminal on the solenoid thru the firewall (a well insulated hole) to a new fuse block. New wires to what you want to do. Where? That's your call.

That's what I did...brought in a 6 gage wire directly off the + battery terminal and set up a new fuse block behind the glove box.

Weeeellllllll....

I kinda never got around to putting the glove box back in....

But... you could hang it along the side, between the glovebox and the door jamb, just above the kick panel. There's room.

You restomod guys slay me. You actually put a fuse box behind the glove box where you could not get to it without removing the glove box? If you want a modern car, why not put the damn fuses in the engine compartment where all modern cars have them?

No. Do not use the 40 year old wires to do anything they were not meant to do. If you want to go restomod and add a lot of high power equipment, then you need to add a whole new wiring system with the fuse box as JamesW showed you, but just don't place it behind the glove box.

I was predominantly making a joke. I had no intention of replacing thatuseless little cardboard glovebox. I'd already apportioned that open area for the multiplerelays, BAP sensor, ODBCII reader, fuel shut off switch, engine warning light, second Voltmeter, and general routing of wiring. Anything needing storing I can store in the console.

Either assist, or don't comment... but leave the unconstructive criticism at the door please.
