65 stang bogging
hey there my dad and i just got done rstoring his 65 stang. because of lack of tools we had someone rebuild the engine. now it runs descent but if your cruising and floor it in high gear (3 on the floor) it just bogs down and doesn't wanna "go" it hasn't done this the whole time i just noticed it about a week or so ago and i've racked my brain and can't figure out what it is so if any of you guys have suggesstions they would be greatly appreciated
coupel things could be wrong. I havent been around these cars in a while so my memory is a bit fuzzy so anyone else can feel free to correct me. Check the downshift linkage arm...thingy,lol and the vacumn lines.

Been missing you. Nah, it ain't the kick down. Manual transmissions don't have a kick down. We just shift to 2nd. 
Ya' got carb problems. Either too much fuel and not enough air or vice versa. Probably need to rebuild that carb and make sure you replace the jets. The old ones could be clogged with gunk.
I may be wrong but who said it was a manual? my 65 has 3 speed "cruise o matic" on the floor. Then again I have no help for the problem because I think my kick down only hits when pressing it down in second gear? I know the PO to my car just took a bar and bent it into shape to fit it and I had to readjust to keep it from sticking (which was scary).

That is a three speed manual tranny. If the poster wants information regarding a 3 speed automatic C4 transmission then he should state that.
