First call Edelbrock like Soaring suggested but it it is likely that Autozone will have it. I just got mine from Summit because it is so close.

my77stang,thanks for the heads up on longer studs, I would have missed that. I guess I will also need gaskets for the spacer as well.

Soaring, thanks for the phone number, I will give them a call once I get the model # off my carb.

appeciate the help.

Just got off the phone with Edelbrock, they advised the 8710 or 8711 will work.

8710- large opening = increase high rpm's
8711-4 small openings = increase low rpm's

both come with needed studs and gaskets, thanks again.

Not a problem. Let us know when you get that sucker on and how you like it. And, pics would be nice. You know how we love pictures of projects.

Spacer should get here by Tuesday, one more question before that.

The throttle linkage (??) from the carb to the arm is currently sitting in a pretty level position. By adding a 1" spacer under the carb is there any issue/concern with the linkage being on a 1" slant??

Well i got the spacer on put even the simple projects give me headaches. The carb studs were locked on pretty good, but after a night of soaking with WD40 and Pen. oil they came out. The throttle rod was the next headache. I needed to unsrcew the adjustment **** (also locked on) because it was causing the accelerator to stick, well I was not as patient with the rod as I was with the studs and boke it.

So, beutiful day in MD and the car is in the garage until the part comes in....[:@]
