Default Explain my spring to me....

I have installed my floor pans (both sides).
I have removed my fenders to get to work on the cowls...
Although I plan on replacing many of the suspension parts, I am curious to know why myRight spring has this on it...

And yet...my left spring is un molested:

So whats up with the clamp?

Another version of a "red neck" lowering kit.

Have you ever seen the Acytelene Torch version? [&:]

Works, sort of, but not recommended.

and the interesting part is that if you have it on only one side and your car is not crooked you ...a) have 2 different springs ... b) one upper arm lower than the other

lol i sell those at my store they are actuall coil spring supports (yours are on backwards) but you place them in the coils and they act as booters to help with sagging coils or extra weight they are similar to these things http://sports-imports.stores.yahoo.net/twinspbo.html

One side and not the other could mean...

1. A weekor incorrect spring on one side
2. Bent Suspensio part
or
3. Bent frame

Sometimes they break off, they are cheap, maybe that's why one is missing...

Maybe its a primitive low-rider thing with a built in surprise...you never know when its gunna break and your front end fly up for a bunny hop

roller spring perches are on special at opentracker at the moment!

Back in the day, we used to supress springs like that, but don't do it like that anymore.
