Default reverse light problems

I am trying to get my reverse lights working, i tested the wiring and lights they work fine. Does anyone know if there is a switch or something that could be shorted or blown.

Yeah, you have a switch near the tail end of your transmission, that when you put the car in reverse, it triggers that switch. They are expensive little boogers.

Called neutral safety switch - assume you have an auto. Depending on year you can get at atutozone - all mustng suppliers carry them

Soaring's right if you have a manual, Paleriders right if you have an automatic. Regardless, to check if it's your switch, disconnect the plug at your firewall (near the left underhood brace) and jumper it (firewall side not the plug). With the ignition on,and thelights come on, the problem is with the switch, if not, its in the rest of the circuit.

OH, I thought all real men Mustangers drove manual transmissions. I thought automatics were for women.

My 66 GT K code Fastback is an automatic C4, same as a GT350H. When you punch it, you don't know when it's going to shift - but when it do - it DO.
