im installing headers on my 66 GT, i was just going to yank the motor since i have a winch in my garage, but i really dont want to, is there an easy way to squeze them in? its real tight

 

Try installing them from the bottom. Start all of the bolts before you tighten any of them. Use antisieze on the bolts.

Yup, exactly like that. Just put it up on jack stands to get the room you need to install them from underneath. Use good Fel-Pro gaskets too, they make some now that retain tension so you don't have to constantly retighten your header bolts to prevent leaks

 

just go ahead and do all your cussing inside where it's air conditioned. When get out there you'll already have finished and it will save you time.

i couldnt do it that way, in fact, i couldnt get the drivers side manifold out of the engine bay
