Replace the housing or replace the gearing. You need to be a LOT more specific.
Jim
- 9" Housing/Axle Package (67 Mustang)
- Moser Axles, Axle Bearings, Wheel Studs, & Retainers
- 31 Spline, 5 on 4-1/2" Bolt Pattern, 1/2" Studs
- Center Section (Assembled)
- New 31 Spline Trac-Lock Posi
- New Motive Performance Gears (3.70)
- New Timken USA Bearings
- 11" Disc Brake Kit w/ Parking Brake

This would be a complete 31 spline setup with your choice of gear ratio. We use new Moser axles (not factory re-splines). We also use new trac-lock posi units, not torque-lock units (modified open carrier).

This center section would be good up to 500HP. If you plan on having more than that you will want to go to an aftermarket setup. It would be $1125 instead of $820 for a complete center with the Strange Nodular Iron S-Case, Aluminum or Iron Daytona Pinion Support, 1350 Steel Yoke, Motive Performance Gears, 31 Spline Trac-Lock Posi, & Timken (USA) Bearings. ALL NEW & ASSEMBLED!

I would take the true trac every day of the week and twice on Sundays. I cant speak for US prices but over here its line ball between true trac and trac lock in terms of cost and the true trac slaughters trac lock for performance and durability.

PM Gunjam - he just fitted one.
Aussie66, are you running a true trac? Im looking for one to fit to my 8" but haven't had much luck here in Aus. I've done some digging on the powertrak, but can't get on to any distributors.
I dont have one in the Stang yet, but we run one in this beast (pic) and it gets punished HARD. I put a new trac lock in the stang just before I discovered the truetrac. It is crap in comparison, but i will be a little while before I can justify the $ to do the stang...it will be done as soon as I can afford it. They are so seamless to drive on you dont even know they are there.

fast66 try Rocket Industries (02 8825 1900)
